My name is Ivan A. Frantar and I’m a Frontend Developer/UI Designer from Argentina currently living and working in Dublin, currently employed as lead designer/frontend developer for hostelworld.com. I’m quite proficient on Web Standards, HTML and CSS and implementing best practices on unobstrusive javascript and progressive enhancement. Also looking for ways to improve SEO by using data formats such as Microformats and writing Semantic HTML.

I have recently graduated from the National College of Ireland with a Bachelor with Honors in Software Systems. My final project consisted on an mobile application based on the Android platform developed by Google where people can find Hostels on the go via search or GPS location.

Other interests that I have had for a long time, since my years as a photojournalist at Diario UNO in my native town of Mendoza (Argentina), is communications. I find fascinating the roll that social networks have bringing together friends, communities of people with common interests and how they are shaping fields such as journalism itself making people more participant on many levels.
